Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Join our IT department! Our hosting needs are growing quickly and we need your talents to wrangle servers.
Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and performance tuning of production servers and network appliances
  • Build, test, and deploy new hardware
  • Be available on-call for server emergencies
  • Maintain internal staging and QA servers
  • Implement and enforce IT security policy
  • Maintain strict PCI DSS compliance standards

Qualifications
  • 5+ years linux systems administration
  • Previous experience high demand and 20+ server environments
  • Experience with rapid deployment and implementation scaling
  • Perl, python, and bash programming experience
  • Solid understanding of major components in intranet architecture
  • Experience managing load-balanced services

Related experience, beneficial to applicants
  • Experience with various server operating systems including Ubuntu, FreeBSD, and OS X Leopard Server
  • Bachelors degree with in technology, engineering, or one with a mathematical focus

Customer support

We’re looking for an outgoing, friendly individual to learn our product inside-out and work with the team in our Seattle office as the first line of support for our users.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to support inquiries
  • Track down and resolve customer issues with your analytical skills
  • Communicate with our technical internal teams to help improve our service

  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
  • A knack for listening to our users
  • An outgoing, friendly personality
  • The capacity to learn and understand how the Boxoh system works and is maintained
